Waiting

Dino is a little slower than others, never as fast or as sharp as his sisters or brothers. But even though Dino was as slow as can be, his patience is what sets him free.

From the little things Dino sees and hears while he waits, like the pip pip pop pop of popcorn changing states.

Or stopping for a moment in a torrential down pour, the sound of dancing raindrops striking him at his core.

And sometimes when Dino’s train is extra delayed, he opens a page instead of being dismayed. Time passes by slowly no matter when or where, just as long as Dino gets there.

But most of all Dino was patient with other creatures, a listening ear and a little time the greatest teachers. So although Dino was always a little slower, sometimes that’s a sign of life’s later growers.
